Logan View upsets Yutan

The Logan View Football team upset Yutan 27-20 at home Friday night.

Head Coach Dustin Sealey says his team showed they are for real. "It was a great win for our football program. It was awesome to see the way our guys responded in the second half. They proved they have the mental and physical toughness to beat good football teams."

Sealey discusses what allowed his team to win. "We responded in a way that would help us win the game. And believed that we could win."

The Raiders (2-1) host Stanton (2-1) Friday night.

The Mustangs won 18-6 at Cross County this past Friday night.

You have to wonder if Logan View is hung up on the Yutan win at all.

Sealey says his team has to want more. "We have to continue to get better each week. We have a lot of football left. The cliche “complacency is the death of greatness” applies to football."

The Raiders are definitely off to a good start, but it's a new week and Stanton is a very tough, fundamentally sound football team, a lot like Logan View.

Sealey says his team isn't concerned about being 3-1 as their approach is one day and one week at a time. "To be honest have not really thought about it. Like I said, we just need to continue to get better, regardless of our opponent. We do not want who we are playing to stop us from getting better."

Logan View is a quality team, and has proven that. I think the Raiders put things all together and had their best game of the season last week by far.

The Mustangs are a young team that have gotten better every week though, and were explosive on offense last week.

This is going to be another tremendous challenge for Logan View, especially how good Stanton's defense is.

Jacob Polk and others need to have monster performances for the Raiders.

It should be a great night of football for Logan View, win or lose.

This program is definitely on the right track, now they just need to learn how to handle winning.

As great as last week's win was there's still a long season to go and a lot to be accomplished.

The Raiders need to keep working hard and growing as team each and every week.

This week is a new challenge, a totally brand new ball game, and Logan View has to be ready to meet the challenge of playing a great team like Stanton.

I think the Raiders have a tremendous opportunity in front of them. It's simply a matter of going out there and getting the job done.

Logan View has to take the bull by the horns, and be ready to hit and play hard Friday night.

It should be a great game, and an action packed night of High School Football at Logan View.
