Tekamah-Herman blanked at North Bend Central

North Bend-The Tekamah-Herman Football team lost 47-0 at North Bend Central Friday night.

Jacob Ray got the scoring started for North Bend Central in the 1st quarter, running one in from 34 yards out at the 9:18 mark to make it a 7-0 game in favor of NBC.

Austin Endorf then hit Joel Hines on a 7-yard TD pass with 9:20 left to go in the 2nd quarter to put North Bend Central up 14-0.

Endorf then hit James Seymour on a 22-yard TD pass with 22 seconds left until halftime to give NBC a 21-0 lead.

Endorf found John Emanuel on a 10-yard TD pass that made it a 28-0 contest in favor of North Bend Central with 9:29 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

Later in the quarter, Ray plunged in from a yard out to give NBC a commanding 34-0 lead with about 3 minutes left to go in the 3rd quarter.

Peter Emanuel then broke loose for 67 yards at the 10:36 mark of the 4th quarter, and North Bend Central went up 41-0.

Endorf hit Peter Emanuel for a 70-yard strike to put the finishing touches on the win for North Bend Central.

North Bend Central amassed 511 yards of total offense, including 373 rushing while holding Tekamah-Herman (1-2) to just 53 yards of total offense.

Tough game for Tekamah-Herman, who was without starting quarterback Clay Beaumont.

Tekamah-Herman makes the long trek to Doniphan-Trumbull (0-3) Friday night.

The Cardinals lost 29-0 at Hershey this past Friday night.

Doniphan-Trumbull has been shutout twice this season although their defense has been fairly respectable.

The Tigers have to feel confident heading into this game due to that.

The Cardinals are down this year, and Tekamah-Herman has to believe they can go in there and win.

Now the competition Doniphan-Trumbull has faced is very good, and given the Tigers' loss last week, I could see Tekamah-Herman getting blown out this week too.

I also think the Tigers can make this game close and competitive though.

I think everything hinges on the play of Beaumont as well as the defense.

Beaumont has to be effective throwing the ball like he was two weeks ago against Ponca.

Tekamah-Herman has to be better on offense and defense than they were against North Bend Central last week.

Giving up over 500 yards of offense and gaining just over 50 is simply frustrating, and I'm sure Tekamah-Herman knows they can do better.

The Tigers have to be tough stopping the Cardinals' run game, and must be physical enough at the line of scrimmage to run the ball themselves.

Tekamah-Herman has to come out and show some toughness and fight, and prove that they are a better team than what they showed last week.

The Tigers have to be better than what they were last week, and they definitely can be.

If both the offense and defense are clicking on all cylinders then Tekamah-Herman has a good chance to win, in my opinion.

But if the Tigers struggle on offense and defense again then it's most likely going to be a long night for the boys in Purple and Vegas Gold.

Tekamah-Herman has to match Doniphan-Trumbull's physicality, and outwork, outplay, and outhustle the Cardinals.

The Tigers have to get excited to play this game, and must be ready to go as soon as they get off the bus.
