BRLD loses at Ponca
The Bancroft-Rosalie-Lyons-Decatur Wolverines faced another difficult opponent Friday night, falling 43-36 at Ponca.
The Indians led 14-8 after one and outscored BRLD 13-6 in the second quarter to go up 27-14 at halftime.
Both teams scored 8 points in the third quarter to make it a 35-22 game at the end of three. The Wolverines won the fourth quarter 14-8.
I thought BRLD played well considering they were going up against another tough opponent.
The Wolverines are getting better, they just haven't had an easy schedule so far this year.
BRLD (0-3) is at Omaha Brownell-Talbot (2-1) Friday night.
The Raiders won 7-6 at Fremont Bergan last time out, and appear to be a better team than what they showed against Tekamah-Herman.
Ponca beat Bergan by the same margin Omaha Brownell-Talbot did so the Wolverines should have another dog fight on their hands Friday night.
I think BRLD can definitely win, but it's not going to be an easy game yet again.
This Wolverine team is so tough and resilient, and doesn't give up, and that will definitely serve them well down the line and perhaps Friday night.
You can never count out BRLD in any game given how they play the game.
This game figures to be the Wolverines' best chance at a win since their inception.
This would be a big win for BRLD with district play beginning and Oakland-Craig coming to town next week.
This is almost a must win for the Wolverines.
BRLD doesn't want to be 0-4 heading into district play. The Wolverines want to pick up a win in non district play.
This is BRLD's last chance to do so, and I think the Wolverines are going to breakthrough and pick up the win.
I feel the game is going to be close, but I think BRLD is due to break out. The Wolverines are like a caged animal waiting to be released.
The time is now for BRLD.
