Oakland-Craig routs Wisner-Pilger

Oakland-Craig beat Wisner-Pilger 46-6 on the road Friday night in a game aired on 107.9 the Bull.

Hoss Smith led the Knights (5-1) with 86 yards rushing.

Evan Reinert was 3-7 passing for 82 yards with a touchdown. Jared Mulder completed a pass for 56 yards.

Garrett Seagren hauled in 2 passes for 66 yards, scoring once. Robby Mayberry caught the pass from Mulder.

Smith notched 7 tackles to lead Oakland-Craig.

The Knights racked up 428 yards of total offense, 290 coming on the ground.

Head Coach  Joe Anderson says his kids cleaned up a lot of mistakes from past weeks."Not very many penalties it didn't seem like anyways, and we took care of the football, and our line and receivers did a nice job of blocking."

Anderson says his team does a good job keeping opposing teams from scoring. "We've made a lot of red zone stands. People have moved the ball to us to the 20, but our defense has really done a great job of stiffening up and keeping people out of the end zone."

Oakland-Craig hosts Logan View (2-4) Friday night.

The Raiders lost 21-14 at home in overtime to Fremont Bergan this past Friday night.

Logan View appears to be a team on the rise despite the loss to Bergan, and it's super important for Oakland-Craig to play well against the Raiders.

The Knights know they can't afford to slip up if they want to win the district and make the playoffs so I think you will see a very determined Oakland-Craig squad take the field Friday night.

The Knights should win, especially considering they're at home, but Logan View can't be overlooked or underestimated at all.

The Raiders are capable of beating anyone if they put it all together, and that's why Oakland-Craig has to be ready and focused for Logan View.

Hoss Smith has to have a good game running the ball, and the offensive line has to do a good job of blocking.

The defense also has to step up and slow down the Raiders' run game.

Oakland-Craig has to do their best to control the line of scrimmage. Logan View rushed for 160 yards against Bergan, which is respectable.

You can bet Logan View will come ready to play as they will be fighting for any shot they have at winning the district and making the playoffs.

I fully expect the Raiders to give the Knights their best shot and then some.

That's why it's super critical and important for Oakland-Craig to be on top of their game.

The Knights have to come out fired up and inspired to play well. Oakland-Craig has to play one of their better games of the season if they hope to win the way they would like.
