West Point-Beemer rolls Madison

The West Point-Beemer Cadets won their fourth game of the year Friday night, winning 41-16 at home over Madison.

The Cadets scored all their points in the second and third quarters, totaling 27 points in the second quarter and 14 in the third to lead 41-0 after three.

The Dragons put up all their points in the fourth quarter.

Cole Hughes was 8-10 passing for 162 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Jackson Hoffman hauled in a 58-yard TD pass.

Riley Berg ran the ball 9 times for 54 yards, and scored once.

Chase Streeter and Dylan James totaled 8 tackles apiece to lead West Point-Beemer.

I thought the Cadets did a nice job responding following last week's loss to O'Neill. A win was just what West Point-Beemer needed to get back on track.

The Cadets (4-2) host Wayne (2-4) in their final home game of the season Friday night.

The Blue Devils lost 28-26 at home to Pierce this past Friday night.

West Point-Beemer has the better record, but Wayne has probably played the tougher schedule.

I would say the Blue Devils might be a little bit better than the Cadets based on scores, but the game being in West Point is a huge advantage for the Cadets, in my opinion.

I think West Point-Beemer can get the job done, especially if the game is close.

The Cadets have been clutch in close games so far this year, and I think this game with Wayne could be another tight contest.

West Point-Beemer has had a nice season so far, now it's a matter of guaranteeing yourself a winning season.

These next three games are not going to be easy, but I feel the Cadets can win their next two and who knows what will happen at Norfolk Catholic to end the regular season should West Point-Beemer come away with wins in their next two games.

The Cadets have already shown they are on their way to getting the program turned around, but West Point-Beemer has to want more and finish this season strong.

Right now the Cadets are sitting 12th in power points so if they could win two out of their last three games they could go to the playoffs.

West Point-Beemer just has to take things one game at a time, and come out ready to play Friday night.

The Cadets have to get pumped and psyched for the game, and be ready to go toe to toe with the Blue Devils for four quarters.

I think West Point-Beemer definitely has what it takes to knock off Wayne so we will see if the Cadets can get the job done.

I really think it's a toss up game that can go either way. Limiting penalties and turnovers will be critical for West Point-Beemer as will be creating turnovers and tackling well to prevent big plays.

Every play, every possession is critical, and being focused and not committing silly personal fouls and stuff like that is super important in a game like this.
