The Clarkson/Leigh Football Team routed Madison 72-22 on the road Friday night.
Dylan Higby had 80 yards rushing on 6 carries, and scored once. Carter Hanel ran the ball 7 times for 56 yards, and scored twice. Eli Hays carried the ball 7 times for 54 yards, and scored twice.
Higby made 8 tackles.
The Patriots totaled 247 yards of offense, 199 coming on the ground.
It appears as if Clarkson/Leigh won this game with little resistance.
The Patriots (3-3) host Wisner-Pilger (0-4) Friday night.
The Gators have been off the last two weeks due to Coronavirus issues.
You have to wonder how Wisner-Pilger will come out given the fact they haven't played a game since mid-September.
I think this is one of those games where Clarkson/Leigh has to jump out to a big lead.
I would say a fast start for the Patriots is key and paramount in this one.
Clarkson/Leigh can't afford to let the Gators hang around in this one.
Wisner-Pilger may be 0-4, but they have lost some close games to some very good teams.
But like I said, it will be interesting to see how the Gators come out in this one not having played a game since mid-September.
I don't really know what to expect from Wisner-Pilger honestly.
I do know the Gators will give and put forth a great effort though, and feel this game could be close.
The Patriots should pick up the win being at home and everything, but you never know.
With that said, this is a game Clarkson/Leigh really needs with the regular season finale at Howells-Dodge looming next week.
