Wisner-Pilger routs Madison in final game of season

The Wisner-Pilger Football Team won their first and only game of the season Friday night, routing Madison 62-14 at home.

The Gator Seniors can say they went out winners, and that doesn't happen very often.

Wisner-Pilger finishes the coronavirus pandemic interrupted season at 1-5.

It's too bad the Gators didn't get to play their full schedule, but it is what it is.

Wisner-Pilger lost a lot of close games to some really good teams.

Wisner-Pilger has to learn and grow from this, and get ready for next year.

The Gators part ways with Marqus Eddy, Klay Koehlmoos, Regan Bellar, Cesar Mares, Tyler McBride, Andrew Borgelt, Ben McDuffee, Layne Heppner, and Zander Walter.

Lots of Seniors lost from this year's team that I am sure were very grateful to be able to play the amount of games they did, but yet bummed about what they missed out on as well.

Key returners include Beau Ruskamp, Anthony Palmer, Hunter Palmer, Owen Heller, Reece Dimon, and Christian Miller.

Some good and key pieces for the Gators to work with next year.

Hopefully this Pandemic ends by the time summer workouts and conditioning rolls around.

Hopefully Wisner-Pilger can lift and workout like normal again this coming offseason.

And hopefully next year's Football season will be normal.

I'm willing to bet the Gators were very thankful that there was Football this year at all.

The kids have to continue to work hard and stay safe and healthy and get through this pandemic.
