The Emerson-Hubbard Football Team lost 71-12 at Pender Friday night.
The Pendragons led 43-6 at halftime. Pender blanked the Pirates 21-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 64-6 at the end of three.
Pender won the 4th quarter 7-6.
Brock Mackling was 5-13 passing for 74 yards with two interceptions.
Mason Hall had two catches for 58 yards.
Hall and Zach Shanks each made 10 tackles.
The Pirates had 169 yards of total offense, including 95 rushing.
The Pendragons amassed 432 yards of total offense, 316 coming on the ground.
Tough loss, but good effort from Emerson-Hubbard.
The Pirates (1-6) host Allen (5-0) in Friday night's season finale.
The Eagles won 81-12 at home over Walthill last week.
This will be another really difficult game for Emerson-Hubbard.
The Pirates have to go out there and throw the kitchen sink at Allen.
These two schools will be on the same team after next year, but for now they are opponents.
Emerson-Hubbard has to play and fight hard Friday night, and give it their all and all they got.
The Pirates have to do everything in their power to win their final game of the season, and last home game and time these seniors will ever dawn the Purple and Gold Uniform of Emerson-Hubbard.
The Pirates have to go out there and play with lots of pride and passion Friday night and see what happens.
The Eagles are a very good and tough team, but we will see what happens for sure.
Allen has missed a couple of games due to COVID-19 so you know the Eagles will be chomping at the bit to get out there and play hard and win big if they can.
