GACC beats Palmyra in replacement game

The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Football Team won 48-32 at Palmya Friday night.

The Bluejays led 8-6 at the end of one and 16-12 at halftime.

GACC outscored the Panthers 24-8 in the 3rd quarter to go up 40-20 at the end of three.

Palmyra won the 4th quarter 12-8.

Good win for the Bluejays.

GACC (4-2) plays host to Howells-Dodge (4-2) Friday night.

The Jaguars were upset 42-36 at Stanton last week.

This should be another tight, great ball game that comes down to the wire.

I'm expecting a very high scoring affair and potentially a one possession game.

Can the Bluejays pull off the same magic they did against Clarkson/Leigh and hand Howells-Dodge their second straight heartbreaking defeat?

I certainly think it is possible, but I could also see the Jaguars winning by a couple of touchdowns.

GACC is going to need to make enough plays on both sides of the ball to win.

I feel this game could come down to who makes more plays throughout the course of the game.

Turnovers could play a big factor in this one too I feel.

It should be a great game between these two teams in what has turned into a great rivalry so to speak.

Everyone thought it would be a down year for the Bluejays, and GACC maybe isn't as dominant as they have been in the past, but here the Bluejays are sitting at 4-2, on par with the rest of the teams in their District.

Win this game and the District Title probably comes down to GACC and Stanton in next week's regular season finale.

If Howells-Dodge wins this game and GACC beats Stanton next week and the Jaguars knock off Clarkson/Leigh then you have a heck of a scenario.

Things will play out the way they are intended to though so we'll see what is in the cards for the Bluejays.
