Oakland-Craig has 20-game winning streak snapped by Fremont Bergan

The Oakland-Craig Football Team lost for the first time since the 2018 State Semifinals Friday night, falling 28-24 at home to Fremont Bergan.

Bergan led 14-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and 14-8 at halftime.

Bergan won the 3rd quarter 14-8 to increase their lead to 28-16 at the end of three.

O-C shutout Bergan 8-0 in the 4th quarter.

Oakland-Craig surrendered 377 yards of total offense, including 230 through the air.

All I will say about this game is that the two teams could very well meet up in the Playoffs for a second time.

Oakland-Craig (7-1) travels to David City to battle the Scouts (3-5) in the regular season finale Thursday night.

David City won 35-14 at Tekamah-Herman last week.

This is one of those games where the Knights have to dominate and get back on track.

Oakland-Craig needs a lift heading into the playoffs, and should roll to a big win on Thursday.

The Knights have to build a big lead and get second and third teamers some playing time and rest starters.

Oakland-Craig has to respond well following the loss to Bergan.

You never want to lose a game, but perhaps O-C can just relax and play Football now.

The Knights have to put last week behind them, and focus on the Scouts.

I'm sure Oakland-Craig won't forget the loss to Bergan should the two meet up again in the postseason, but for now it has to be out of their minds.

The last thing the Knights want to do is limp into the playoffs, and I don't look for that to be the case at all as I look for Oakland-Craig to beat David City pretty good come Thursday night.

It very well could be a big win for the Knights come Thursday.

O-C has to go out and play hard and be physical at the point of attack and must also take care of the pigskin.
