Emerson-Hubbard loses final game of season to Allen

The Emerson-Hubbard Football Team lost 53-6 at home on Friday in the regular season finale to Allen.

The Eagles led 22-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, and outscored the Pirates 15-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 37-6 lead into the locker room.

Allen blanked Emerson-Hubbard 16-0 in the 3rd quarter.

Neither team scored in the 4th quarter.

Brock Mackling was 3-8 passing for 75 yards with a touchdown.

Anthony Lawrence hauled in 2 passes for 68 yards, including the lone TD.

Garrett Blanke made 15 tackles while Mason Hall had 13. Zach Shanks and Cameron Ahlers each had 10 while Hunter Morgan made 8.

The Pirates had 88 yards of total offense, including 75 through the air.

Emerson-Hubbard ends a difficult season with a 1-7 record.

The Pirates now get ready to enter their final season as a program.

Emerson-Hubbard loses Lawrence, Ahlers, Ryan Kinnaman, Hall, Alex King-Lobo, Morgan, and Shanks.

Lots of talented Seniors lost from this year's team.

Mackling, Ethan Eriksen, Blanke, and Gabe Von Seggern are the key returners for the Pirates next year.

It will be interesting to see what next season brings for the Pirates.

Emerson-Hubbard has to dedicate themselves in the offseason to what will be the final year for the program.

It does look like the Co-op between Allen and Emerson-Hubbard will definitely be coming at the right time for Emerson-Hubbard from a numbers and personnel standpoint.

I think these two schools will have an opportunity to make a great team.

But there's still another year of Emerson-Hubbard and Allen before the Tri County Northeast Football Team comes into existence so the Pirates have to try and better themselves for Emerson-Hubbard heading into next fall.
