BRLD blows out Tekamah-Herman
The BRLD Football team rolled over Tekamah-Herman at home Friday night, winning 50-14.
Will Gatzemeyer was 12-16 passing for 178 yards with two touchdowns while running for 122 yards and scoring three touchdowns on 11 attempts.
Trent Gatewood hauled in 2 passes for 60 yards while Hunter Ferguson brought in 2 passes for 53 yards.
Jaxon Johnson made 8 tackles to lead the Wolverines.
BRLD racked up 475 yards of total offense, including 293 rushing.
Good team win for BRLD. I thought this was the Wolverines' best performance of the season so far.
BRLD (2-4) travels to Wisner to take on Wisner-Pilger (0-6) Friday night.
The Gators lost 61-12 at Oakland-Craig Friday night.
This should be another big win for the Wolverines. I look for BRLD to come out and roll once again Friday night.
Wisner-Pilger's offense took some steps forward against the Knights, in my opinion, but the defense gave up the most amount of points they've given up all season.
The Gators are a young team that has really struggled and is trying to find its way yet.
The Wolverines are young too, but have made a lot of strides as the season has gone along, in my opinion.
I really think you can say BRLD has gotten better every week they've played.
475 yards of total offense is great progress and a sign of great coaching I would say.
I feel things really came together last week for the Wolverines, and I look for BRLD to build off the performance, and play even better this week.
As good as last week's performance was....I think the Wolverines will turn in an even better performance this week.
I think BRLD has a chance to score more points than they did last week, and allow fewer points.
I feel that the Tigers are a stronger team than Wisner-Pilger at this point in the season, and that's why I look for the Wolverines to win by more over the Gators than they did Tekamah-Herman.
That and because of the progress BRLD has made each and every week.
Gatzemeyer has had a terrific season, and needs to keep it up. The Wolverines are clicking on all cylinders, and if BRLD can win out and get some help, they might have a shot at winning the district.
The loss to Oakland-Craig hurts, but if anything I feel the Wolverines will have the opportunity to play spoiler before season's end.
There's a lot of season left, and still a lot to play for if you are BRLD.
