Wisner-Pilger shutout by BRLD

The Wisner-Pilger Football Team lost 32-0 at home to BRLD Friday night.

The Gators gave up 326 yards of total offense, including 214 rushing.

Not sure if it was the weather or what, but I thought Wisner-Pilger improved and made progress defensively. Now the Gators just need the offense to come around.

Wisner-Pilger (0-7) hosts Logan View (4-3) Friday night.

The Raiders lost 18-14 at home to Oakland-Craig this past Friday night.

This game is all about pride and playing the roll of spoiler if you are the Gators.

Wisner-Pilger is way out of playoff contention, but Logan View can still make the playoffs by winning their last two games.

I'm sure the Gators would like to see some progress by the results on the scoreboard.

Putting up a good amount of points and limiting Logan View to fewer points than what they've been giving up would be a good start, and a moral victory for Wisner-Pilger I feel.

The Gators need to play as well as possible Friday night to give themselves a chance in the season finale at Tekamah-Herman.

It has been a long, tough season for Wisner-Pilger, but the Gators need to try their best to improve and turn in better performances these next two weeks to build for next season.

Wisner-Pilger needs something to build off of going into next season, and needs something positive to happen these next two weeks, whatever it is.

The bottomline is the Gators have to be better on offense.

Wisner-Pilger has to find a way to score more points, whether that's sustaining drives or making big plays.

Big returns on kickoffs and punts would help, as would creating turnovers on defense.

Whatever the defense and special teams can do to help out the offense, the better for Wisner-Pilger.

This is the last home game of the season for the Gators. The last time these seniors will ever play on their home field.

Wisner-Pilger has to play inspired and for each other, and must have fun and do their best to turn in their best performance of the season.

Time is running out on these seniors' High School Football careers.
