West Point-Beemer rolls to win over Madison

The West Point-Beemer Football team won 54-20 at Madison Friday night.

The Cadets led 26-0 at the end of one, and outscored the Dragons 21-6 in the second quarter to take a 47-6 lead into the locker room.

West Point-Beemer won the third quarter 7-6 to go up 54-12 at the end of three.

Madison shutout the Cadets 8-0 in the fourth quarter.

Hunter Pilakowski ran the ball 6 times for 73 yards, and scored twice. Gage Vance carried the rock 3 times for 61 yards, and scored two touchdowns.

Vance also hauled in 2 passes for 143 yards, and scored twice.

Great first half effort by the Cadets. It's likely West Point-Beemer pulled starters early.

The Cadets (6-0) travel to Wayne (5-1) to take on the Blue Devils Friday night.

Wayne lost 50-34 at Pierce this past Friday night.

This figures to be a close and compelling game, but I think West Point-Beemer can definitely win.

It's the final road game of the season for the Cadets, and West Point-Beemer has to be ready to play their best game of the year.

You can bet there will be a big crowd for this one. It would of been really cool if both teams were still undefeated, but this game should still be really good.

Pilakowski and Vance need to have big games for the Cadets, and give the Blue Devils' defense headaches.

West Point-Beemer has to come out and do what they've done all season, which is take the fight to other teams.

The Cadets have to come out and be the aggressor on both sides of the ball.

West Point-Beemer has to run, hit, and tackle with authority and purpose.

Quite honestly the Cadets should be upset about how last year's game between these two teams finished.

Hopefully West Point-Beemer learned a lesson from last year, and can hang on to a double digit fourth quarter lead this time if they have one.

The Cadets need to be smart, yet aggressive in all facets of the game.

This is a huge game and a big time atmosphere so we'll see how West Point-Beemer handles it.

These are the types of games you practice and play for if you are the Cadets.

I know Pierce and Norfolk Catholic come to West Point to end the regular season, but West Point-Beemer should only be worried about Wayne right now.

Improving to 7-0 is all the Cadets should be thinking at the moment.

After this game then West Point-Beemer can think about Pierce, and after Pierce, Norfolk Catholic.
