Scribner-Snyder drops game to Humphrey St. Francis

The Scribner-Snyder Football Team lost 74-6 at Humphrey St. Francis last Friday night.

The Flyers led 22-0 at the end of one, and blanked the Trojans 32-0 in the 2nd quarter to take a 54-0 lead into the locker room.

Humphrey St. Francis blanked Scribner-Snyder 6-0 in the 3rd quarter to make it a 60-0 game at the end of three.

The Flyers won the fourth quarter 14-6.

Austin Peters had 54 yards rushing on 15 carries.

Josh McMillen made 16 tackles while Peters racked up 15. Harrison Riggle added 8.

The Trojans amassed 116 yards of offense, all on the ground.

Scribner-Snyder (0-6) hosts Osceola (3-4) Friday night in a game that will be aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Bulldogs lost 48-6 at home to Humphrey St. Francis this past Friday night.

I think having an off week and seeing Osceola against the Flyers really helps the Trojans.

The Bulldogs have lost to some good teams, but in Scribner-Snyder's case, I think having a week off can make a difference.

I don't know if Scribner-Snyder will win, but I think the Trojans will be more competitive in this game than they were in their last two games.

Scribner-Snyder has these last two home games and then the season is done. The Trojans have to put their all into these last two contests, and must fight as hard as possible to win them both.

Scribner-Snyder has to continue to fight and play hard no matter what.

I'm sure it would be easy to just quit and throw in the towel given what has transpired this season, but I don't see that happening with this team.

I think the Trojans will continue to give a great effort and play their hearts out, and represent Scribner-Snyder High School to the best of their ability.

These losses are all learning experiences for the players, and will only benefit them further in their football careers and/or in life.

The Trojans have to throw the kitchen sink at Osceola, and give the Bulldogs all they got.

I know Scribner-Snyder has Cedar Bluffs next week, but the Trojans have to give Osceola all they can handle and then some.

Scribner-Snyder has to pour their blood, sweat, and tears into this game, and play with the hearts of champions.

The Trojans have to get fired up, and run behind that big offensive line.

Peters has to have another solid outing in the run game, and the defense has to try and slow down the Bulldog attack.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. with pregame at 6:40 on the Bull.
