Oakland-Craig blows out Wisner-Pilger

The Oakland-Craig Football team routed Wisner-Pilger 61-12 at home Friday night.

Evan Reinert was 7-10 passing for 215 yards and four touchdowns. Garrett Seagren hauled in 3 passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Garrison Dodge had 2 catches for 61 yards and a touchdown.

Kobe Benne ran the ball 4 times for 51 yards, including a score.

Daniel Sechler and Jared Mulder made 7 tackles apiece.

The Knights racked up 507 yards of total offense, 267 coming on the ground.

Very impressive performance from Oakland-Craig. The Knights had amazing offensive balance.

Oakland-Craig (5-1) travels to Logan View (4-2) to take on the Raiders Friday night in High School Football Action on 107.9 the Bull.

Logan View lost 12-7 at Fremont Bergan last Friday night.

This figures to be a very close and compelling game.

Both Oakland-Craig's games against the Raiders and Bergan to end the season figure to be very tight, close, and action packed.

If Oakland-Craig loses to Logan View and beats Bergan there could be a three-way tie atop the district.

This is one Oakland-Craig really wants.

The Knights have to play the same way offensively like they did against Wisner-Pilger.

The defense also has to step up and shut down the Raiders' offense.

I think this game comes down to defense, and who can slow down the other's offense.

I think the difference in this game will come down to whose offense is better though.

I would say Oakland-Craig has a stronger offense, and that's why I look for the Knights to find a way to win this one.

Oakland-Craig has been there before, and has the experience of winning the big game.

I just don't know if Logan View is quite ready to win that big game just yet.

This game certainly figures to be very close, competitive, and compelling, but I've got to go with the Knights in this one.

Oakland-Craig is an experienced and veteran team, and knows how to win the big games.

So I look for the Knights to eek one out, maybe by a touchdown or something like that.

Regardless of who comes on top though it should be a great game.

Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. with the Lincoln Street Market High School Football Pregame Show beginning at 5:40.

You can bet both teams will be pumped and ready to go for this one. I look for this game to have both fans and announcers on the edge of their seats.
