Emerson-Hubbard loses in shootout to Allen
The Emerson-Hubbard Football Team lost 44-40 at home to Allen Friday night.
The Pirates led 14-6 at the end of one before the Eagles won the 2nd quarter 14-6 to tie the game at 20 at halftime.
Emerson-Hubbard doubled up Allen 12-6 in the 3rd quarter to lead 32-26 at the end of three.
The Eagles outscored the Pirates 18-8 in the 4th quarter.
Emerson-Hubbard gave up 502 yards of offense, including 455 rushing.
This one hurts for the Pirates. Emerson-Hubbard probably needs a win over Randolph in the regular season finale to make the playoffs.
The Pirates (2-5) battle the Cardinals (5-2) on the road Friday night.
Randolph lost 50-20 at Wynot this past Friday night.
The Cardinals are a very good team, and will be very difficult for Emerson-Hubbard to beat, in my opinion.
With that said, the season is on the line for the Pirates, and this is do or die for Emerson-Hubbard.
Win and you're in. Lose and the season is likely over.
The Pirates have to come out and play with a sense of urgency and like their season is on the line and there's no tomorrow because that is the case.
Emerson-Hubbard has to play with tremendous pride, fire, passion, desire, physical and mental toughness, tenacity, and grit.
The Pirates have to play out of their minds, and turn in their best performance of the season.
Beating Randolph in Randolph is no easy task, but Emerson-Hubbard really has no choice but to win.
The only option the Pirates have is to pick up a win. There is no other option for Emerson-Hubbard at this point. It's win or go home.
The Pirates have to play like this is it because it could be if Emerson-Hubbard doesn't win.
The Pirates have to throw the kitchen sink at and give an all out effort against the Cardinals. Emerson-Hubbard can't hold anything back whatsoever.
The Pirates have to turn in their best performance of the season, and play well.
It's make or break for Emerson-Hubbard. The Pirates are going to either be really happy campers Friday night or disappointed and down on the ride home.
Hopefully it's a jolly ride home for Emerson-Hubbard because I would really like to see the Pirates make the playoffs.
Emerson-Hubbard has to go into Randolph and play with reckless abandonment Friday night. The Pirates must have no regard for human life.
Emerson-Hubbard has to go into Randolph and play hard nosed, smashmouth, in your face, physical football.
