Winnebago loses to GACC
The Winnebago Football Team lost 66-28 at GACC Friday night.
The Indians can still earn a split of the District Title if Pender upsets the Bluejays though, and Winnebago wins their season finale.
The Indians (2-5) host Homer (2-5) Friday night.
The Knights lost 56-15 at Howells-Dodge this past Friday night.
Pender beat Homer 46-40, and based on that score, I think Winnebago has a really good chance to win this one.
The Indians also played GACC closer than the Knights did, and I like Winnebago to pick up the win Friday night.
What a way it would be for the Indians to go out too.
Sure Winnebago won't make the playoffs, but to win your last game and 3 out of your final 4 would be something special.
I think the Indians have improved each and every year since 2015 when I first started writing about them, and will be a team to be reckoned with in the future.
You can bet this game with Homer will be high scoring, electric, and entertaining.
Winnebago's fans have to rally around this team and get excited.
The Indians' players also have to get pumped and get ready to go out there and put on the pads one more time in 2017.
T.J. Frenchman needs to go wild on the Knights, and Winnebago has to turn in a big performance Friday night.
The Indians are more than capable of playing a great game and winning by double digits, they just need to go out there and make it happen.
Sure the game against the Bluejays didn't go exactly the way Winnebago hoped for, but the Indians have this week to right the ship.
This is it though. The final chance for the Indians to go out there and play a great game.
There's a last time for everything, and for these seniors this is it. This is the last time they will ever play a High School Football Game, and the last time they will dawn the Blue and White of Winnebago on a Football Field.
Forever is about to happen for these players, and so the Indians have to go out there and play with Bago Pride, and give it all they got, and leave everything out on the field.
Winnebago has to be "perfect," according to Friday Night Light's definition.
