BRLD routs Louisville

The BRLD Football Team won 56-20 at home over Louisville Friday night.

Will Gatzemeyer had 19 carries for 144 yards and four touchdowns while Jackson Beaudette had 84 yards rushing on 10 carries, including a score. Derek Petersen ran the ball 6 times for 65 yards. Gatzemeyer was 3-6 passing for 101 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Dylan Beutler had a 57-yard TD catch.

Petersen made 7 tackles.

The Wolverines amassed 439 yards of total offense, including 338 on the ground.

Very big, dominant win for BRLD. The Wolverines appear to be a very legit threat to win the District Title.

BRLD (6-1) hosts Fremont Bergan (5-2) Friday night.

Bergan lost 26-20 at home to Oakland-Craig last week.

We are down to the very nitty gritty, crunch time, and when it all counts.

Gatzemeyer has to have a big game with his legs and arm, and the Wolverines have to run the ball well as a team and stop the run also.

This game figures to be very physical, and BRLD has to take the fight to the Knights for 4 quarters.

This is a huge game for the Wolverines, and if they can get it it would set up a huge District Title showdown with Oakland-Craig next week.

BRLD has to come out ready to smash from the start.

The Wolverines have to get themselves fired and geared up for this one.

BRLD can't hold anything back, and has to impose their will on Bergan.

Jake Ridder and Ethan Villwok appear to be the two players the Wolverines need to try and slow down.

Oakland-Craig held them both to 100 yards, Ridder passing and Villwok rushing, so BRLD has to take a page from Oakland-Craig's book.

I would say slowing those two down and a big game from Gatzemeyer is the key to a Wolverine win.

This game figures to be close, but if BRLD wins then a win over Oakland-Craig next week as well would give the Wolverines the District Championship outright.

A win this week would improve BRLD's playoff seeding as well.

Two wins would really shoot the Wolverines up in the standings I'm willing to bet.

One opponent and one game at a time though...BRLD has to be focused on beating Bergan.

I really think this game being at BRLD gives the Wolverines an edge.

I think it would be much tougher if BRLD had to go to Fremont to play this game.

It should be a great game, and I think the Wolverines stand a good chance to win, but it won't be easy by any means.
