Tekamah-Herman drops home game to BRLD

The Tekamah-Herman Football Team competed well Friday night, but lost 54-16 at home to BRLD in action heard on 107.9 the Bull.

BRLD led 16-0 at the end of one, and both teams scored 8 points in the 2nd quarter to make it a 24-8 game at halftime in favor of the Wolverines.

BRLD shutout the Tigers 22-0 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 46-8 at the end of three.

Both teams put up 8 points in the 4th quarter.

Clay Beaumont had 125 yards rushing on 25 carries while going 5-18 passing for 85 yards with a touchdown. Brandon Schram had 4 catches for 75 yards.

Gage Drummond racked up 22 tackles while Cody Elliot made 13. Schram added 9.

Tekamah-Herman had 327 yards of total offense, including 242 on the ground.

If the Tigers could of punched the ball in the end zone on two early drives that got down to the goal line this could of been a totally different ball game.

Tekamah-Herman (1-5) takes on Yutan (2-4) on the road Friday night.

The Chieftains lost 54-21 at home to Fremont Bergan last week.

This is a game the Tigers can definitely compete in and win, in my opinion.

Tekamah-Herman has been much more competitive in all their ball games this year, and I look for the Tigers to give Yutan a fight and all they want and then some.

If Tekamah-Herman can capitalize on opportunities offensively then the Tigers could come away with a victory.

Tekamah-Herman ran the ball exceptionally well against a very good and physical BRLD team and defense.

I look for the Tigers to build on that and play well Friday night.

Tekamah-Herman is out of the playoff and District race pretty much, but these games still matter to the Tigers.

They matter to these seniors who have worked their tails off for 4 years and put their heart, blood, sweat, and tears into this program.

You can bet Tekamah-Herman will go down swinging and fighting, and won't back down from anyone.

The Tigers have to fight and scrap and claw the rest of the season, and give everyone left on their schedule havoc and all they got.

Tekamah-Herman has 3 games left...3 games and then it's all done.

Most of these kids will not play another down of organized Football after this season so the Tigers have to step up and make things count.

Tekamah-Herman has to play their tails off the rest of the season, and play balls to the walls so to speak.

The Tigers have to unleash themselves like a cage animal and just burst out.

All the frustration of losing these games in a tough manner has to be taken out on Yutan Friday night.

Tekamah-Herman has to go down swinging and fighting, and must just keep playing until the final whistle blows.
