Oakland-Craig shuts out Louisville

The Oakland-Craig Football Team continued their winning ways Friday night, shutting out Louisville 47-0 on the road.

Robby Mayberry had 95 yards rushing on 11 carries, and scored twice. Jared Mulder was 6-9 passing for 75 yards with three touchdowns.

The Knights had 256 yards of total offense, including 181 on the ground.

Another big win for Oakland-Craig, who is having a big and fantastic season.

Oakland-Craig (6-0) has a tough road test at Fremont Bergan (5-1) Friday night.

Bergan won 54-21 at Yutan last week.

Oakland-Craig has to watch out for Quarterback Jake Ridder in the running and passing game as well as Eli Herink in the running game.

Bergan is a good, tough team, and this will be a dog fight without a doubt.

This game is big for District and playoff seeding implications.

Oakland-Craig has played tough teams, but no one they've beaten is better than 2-4.

A win over Bergan would be a big and signature win for Oakland-Craig.

This District is a three horse race between Oakland-Craig, Fremont Bergan, and BRLD, and Oakland-Craig controls their own destiny.

If Oakland-Craig can get this one and BRLD beats Bergan next week then Oakland-Craig and BRLD will play for the district crown the last week of the regular season.

Oakland-Craig can't get too ahead of themselves though....they have to focus on taking care of business against Bergan first.

I think defense will be the difference in this game.

I feel Oakland-Craig is a bit better on defense, and the same could be said for offense.

I feel Oakland-Craig is the better team, but they will have to go out there and prove it on the field Friday night.

This is a huge game, but teams like Oakland-Craig always get up and and are ready for ball games like these.

You can bet Oakland-Craig will be ready for Bergan, and will play well.

Oakland-Craig has to bring their best in order to win though. If OC has an off game it could prove to be costly.

I don't think that will be the case though....I think Oakland-Craig will play very good defensively and do enough offensively to get over the hump.

The game being in Fremont adds to the challenge though.

It should be a be a great ball game nonetheless.
