Wisner-Pilger wins over Winnebago
The Wisner-Pilger Football Team won 34-14 at home against Winnebago Friday night.
Good win for the Gators, who needed it after coming up short at GACC last week.
Wisner-Pilger (4-1) takes on Homer (0-5) on the road Friday night.
The Knights lost 72-30 at home to Wakefield last week.
This should be an easy win for the Gators.
Wisner-Pilger has to come out and play good football, and not only win, but dominate.
The Gators have to dominate in all facets of the game and on both sides of the football.
Wisner-Pilger has to come out and score early and often, and create turnovers.
The Gators have to limit penalties and turnovers, and play a flawless game.
It has to be a complete game performance from Wisner-Pilger.
This game and the game against Omaha Nation next week should be easy wins, and then it's on to the regular season finale at Wakefield.
The Gators have to be sharp these next two weeks so they can beat the Trojans and make a big and deep playoff run.
Wisner-Pilger has to come out and build a big lead so they can rest starters and get the backups valuable playing time.
The second stringers haven't had many chances to play this year and so these next two games could be their time.
That and if the Gators can build a big, insurmountable lead in both games it could get the starters some much needed rest and healing for the stretch run.
Wisner-Pilger just has to come out and take care of business early on and be relentless.
The Gators have to keep attacking and applying pressure and making big plays.
Getting out in the open field and creating plays while making sure tackles is going to be key for Wisner-Pilger, in my opinion.
The Gators have to be explosive and dynamic offensively, and must be sound defensively as well.
I'm looking for big things from Wisner-Pilger these next two games and over the course of the rest of the regular season and in the playoffs.
