Winnebago rolls Omaha Nation
The Winnebago Football Team won 80-26 at home against Omaha Nation on Friday.
Nice win for the Indians.
Winnebago (3-3) takes on Wakefield (4-2) on the road Friday night.
The Trojans upset GACC 38-22 on the road last week.
Perhaps Wakefield will have upset hangover, but either way the Indians have to be ready to go.
The Trojans have won 4 in a row, and have knocked off arguably two of the top teams in D-1, both on the road.
Wakefield has to be viewed as a legit threat to win the District.
Winnebago would love to spoil the party though, and pick up a win.
The Indians really have nothing to lose quite honestly.
All the pressure should be squarely on the Trojans' shoulders.
Winnebago should play pressure free and loose, and should just be able to play their brand of Football.
Prosper Gilpin, T.J. Frenchman, Tyrese Gorrin, and Robbie Lovejoy all need to have gigantic games for the Indians.
Winnebago is definitely capable of upsetting Wakefield, they just have to go out there and play a great and big game.
The Indians have to play with reckless abandonment.
Winnebago only has two games left in their season and then it is over.
There is no postseason for the Indians so these next two games to end the season are their playoff games.
Winnebago has to make the most of this week's game against Wakefield and next week's game against GACC.
The Indians just have to go out there and play their game and see what happens.
Winnebago played Wisner-Pilger tough and close so I think the Indians can definitely be competitive in their final two games of the season.
Winnebago has to go out there and compete at a high level and do everything in their power to end the season a high note.
