Winnebago loses at Wakefield

The Winnebago Football Team lost 74-14 at Wakefield Friday night.

Definitely a disappointing loss for the Indians. I thought Winnebago would make things closer than they did.

The Indians (3-4) host GACC (6-1) in the season finale Friday night.

The Bluejays won 64-8 at home over Homer last week.

Keys to the game for me include getting T.J. Frenchman, Tyrese Gorrin, and Robbie Lovejoy going while Prosper Gilpin opens up big lanes in the running and passing games for them.

Winnebago has to come out and play like there's no tomorrow because there isn't.

This is the last game of the season for the Indians win or lose.

Winnebago has to play with reckless abandonment and like they have nothing to lose.

The Indians have to play like men possessed.

Most if not all of these seniors will ever play another down of organized Football after Friday night so they have to make it count.

All the blood, sweat, and tears these players have to put into their careers and this season comes down to one final game.

Winnebago has to do everything in their power to go out there and win, or least compete.

Slowing down Jared Minnick and Cody Steffen will be key, in my opinion.

The Indians have to clog up the backfield and make the Bluejays throw it to win it.

Winnebago has to take GACC out of their game, and play a complete four quarter game.

The Indians have to play up to their potential and ability, and take it to the Bluejays for four quarters.

Winnebago has to play above and beyond themselves, and play even better Friday night than they have at any point in the season.

The Indians have to take the fight to GACC for 48 minutes, and give the Bluejays all they can handle and then some.

Winnebago has to keep fighting and battling hard until the very end, and must never give up.

The Indians have to play with hearts of champions Friday night, regardless of the outcome.

Winnebago has to go out there and have fun, and rally around one another one final time.
