The Emerson-Hubbard Football Team lost 50-32 at Walthill on Friday.
The Pirates gave up 429 yards of total offense, including 296 on the ground.
Tough loss for Emerson-Hubbard.
The Pirates (1-3) travel to Winside on Friday to take on the Wildcats (2-2).
Winside lost 50-28 at home to Osmond last week.
The Wildcats defeated the Blujays 63-30 in the first week of the season.
So Emerson-Hubbard definitely has an uphill battle on their hands Friday night, but the Pirates can definitely win and be successful.
Emerson-Hubbard just has to turn things around from last week and get things headed in the right direction.
The Pirates have to be more sound defensively, and the offense has to put up some big and impressive numbers as well.
I feel like Emerson-Hubbard will be able to put up some points up on Winside, but slowing down Gabe Escalante and others figures to be a challenge for sure.
So I'm thinking the Wildcats may put up quite a few points on the Pirates, but we will see.
Emerson-Hubbard has to play a great game and put forth a great effort Friday night.
If the Pirates play well they should have a shot in the end.
It will be interesting though as Winside is a much improved and tough team.
