The Oakland-Craig Football Team beat David City Aquinas 28-12 at home Friday night.
Coulter Thiele had 201 yards rushing on 6 carries, and scored three times. Caden Nelson ran the ball 17 times for 82 yards while Grady Gatewood was 5-7 passing for 54 yards with a TD.
Mike Maline made 9 tackles while Nelson and Mike Brands notched 8 and 7, respectively.
The Knights had 388 yards of total offense, including 334 rushing.
Another outstanding performance from Oakland-Craig.
The Knights (5-0) take on Tekamah-Herman (1-4) on the road Friday night.
The Tigers fell 49-6 at Crofton Friday night.
Oakland-Craig beat the Warriors 30-13 on the road so the Knights should have no trouble in this one whatsoever.
Still though Oakland-Craig has to be ready to play as you know Tekamah-Herman will bring it and give things their best shot.
The Knights have to play the game as if they were playing Aquinas or Norfolk Catholic or some other traditional power.
It's a rivalry game, and anything can happen and teams can sneak up on you if you're not careful.
But this is a game that Oakland-Craig has to jump out to a big lead in and rest starters for Fremont Bergan and Hartington Cedar Catholic coming up the next two weeks.
The rest of the schedule sets up nicely for O-C in that they get Bergan and the Trojans at home, and go to Tekamah-Herman and David City.
Oakland-Craig just has to focus on taking care of business against the Tigers this week though.
The Knights have to come out sharp and on top of their game like they have for most of this season.
