The Howells-Dodge Football Team lost 28-0 at Cross County Friday night.
The Cougars led 12-0 at halftime, scoring all their first half points in the 2nd quarter, before putting up 16 more 3rd quarter points to make up the final score.
Levi Belina had 29 carries for 96 yards rushing while Jacob Tomcak was 9-15 for 102 yards passing and a touchdown.
Blake Sindelar caught 7 passes for 91 yards.
Tomcak had 11 tackles while Aiden Meyer made 8. Belina and Blake Sindelar each had 8 while Aandy Dominguez totaled 7.
The Jaguars had 191 yards of total offense, 102 coming through the air.
Head Coach Mike Speirs on the loss. "We lost to a really good team tonight, but you could see our guys learning and growing as the game went on, now we just have to make sure we build on this and fix some of the little things."
Howells-Dodge (2-1) travels to Wisner Friday night to take on Wisner-Pilger (0-3).
The Gators lost 50-44 at Elkhorn Valley Thursday night.
I'm expecting a very hard hitting and physical football game come Friday night.
Wisner-Pilger will no doubt be fired up and ready to go.
The Jaguars have to be ready to play and put last week's loss behind them.
I feel like Howells-Dodge will do just that too.
The Jaguars are so well coached and disciplined, and are always ready to play.
Howells-Dodge ran into an extremely good team last week, and I fully expect the Jaguars to go out there and play the way they did two weeks ago.
The Jaguars should win, but will likely get Wisner-Pilger's best shot.
