Tekamah-Herman falters at Hartington Cedar Catholic

The Tekamah-Herman Football Team lost 50-15 at Hartington Cedar Catholic Friday night.

The Trojans led 21-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, and 28-0 at halftime.

Cedar Catholic blanked the Tigers 14-0 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 42-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Tekamah-Herman won the 4th quarter 15-8.

Brock Rogers was 5-21 passing for 104 yards and two interceptions while Kody Bitter carried the ball 17 times for 85 yards. Connor Feiling caught 2 touchdown passes totaling 82 yards.

Garrison Potadle made 14 tackles while Bitter made 13. Feiling recorded 8 while Kaleb Quick notched 7.

The Tigers had 182 yards of total offense, 104 coming through the air.

I was proud of the way Tekamah-Herman continued to fight until the very end of the game.

The Tigers (1-2) host Bishop Neumann (2-1) Friday night.

The Cavaliers won 34-18 at Doniphan-Trumbull last week.

Bishop Neumann is a perennial power and is always tough, much like Cedar Catholic.

Tekamah-Herman has to go into this game expecting to win and compete though.

The Tigers can't think "oh we're going to lose" just because it's Neumann.

Tekamah-Herman has to try and continue to change the culture of their program and turn themselves into what the Cavaliers have.

The Tigers have to go out there and hit hard and have fun while doing it.

Tekamah-Herman has to continue to fight and battle hard until the very end, much like they have done this entire season.

I look for the Tigers to go out there and put forth another great effort Friday night.

Tekamah-Herman has to go out there and give it their all and play and fight with the heart of a champion.
