The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Football Team beat Madison 38-16 on the road Friday night.
Not the Bluejays' usual dominance of the Dragons, but still a win nonetheless.
GACC (2-2) travels to Clarkson/Leigh (2-2) Friday night.
The Patriots lost 42-20 at Stanton last week.
A lot was expected of Clarkson/Leigh this season, and still is, but the Patriots have been hit hard by the injury bug.
I think the Bluejays have a legit shot to win this one.
At the beginning of the year I would have probably given the advantage to Clarkson/Leigh, and the Patriots could still win being at home and everything, but I feel like GACC has a better shot to win now than they did at the beginning of the season.
The Bluejays need to play at a higher level than they did against Madison though.
GACC has to come out and play well and step up their game.
The Bluejays have to perform well for four quarters, and play a great and complete 48-minute game.
If GACC gets four good quarters out of their guys it may be enough to win the game.
The Bluejays have to watch out for and have to try and slow down Lance Paprocki.
He is the key to Clarkson/Leigh's offense, and if GACC can limit him like Stanton did then they figure to be in a good position to win the game.
