Fourth Quarter

Howells-Dodge 02:18 #8 Lane Bohac sacked at the Tigers 0 yard line. Safety! #50 Aandy Dominguez on the tackle.

Belina had 10 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown while Tomcak ran the ball 3 times for 58 yards and scored once.

Colton Klosen had 11 tackles while Caleb Perrin added 9. Jestin Bayer totaled 8.

The Jaguars amassed 269 yards of total offense, including 260 on the ground, while giving up 182 yards of total offense, including 107 rushing.

Head Coach Mike Speirs has this assessment of the game. "The effort by the players was great tonight, but we have a lot of technique that we need to fix."

Howells-Dodge (1-0) takes on Shelby-Rising City (0-1) at home Friday night.

The Huskies lost 58-46 at Thayer Central last week.

Shelby-Rising City is coming off a couple of good seasons in C-2 so they are a good, solid, and quality program.

The same goes for the Jaguars though, and I fully expect Howells-Dodge to be ready to roll come Friday night.

I look for the Jaguars to play well and perhaps win this one pretty big.

I feel like the East Butler game was a lot more lopsided than the final score would indicate.

Howells-Dodge put that game away in the first half and the game was all but over at halftime.

I don't know if the Jaguars will be able to do that again this week, but we will see.

Either way I'm expecting a dominating performance and another big win for Howells-Dodge Friday night.
