Oakland-Craig blanks Logan-Magnolia (IA)

The Oakland-Craig Football Team shutout Logan-Magnolia (IA) 38-0 at home Friday night.

The Knights scored 16 points in the 2nd quarter and led 16-0 at halftime.

Oakland-Craig struck again in the 3rd quarter to go up 24-0 at the end of three.

The Knights scored two more times in the 4th quarter to make up the final score.

Jaron Meyer had 142 yards rushing on 16 carries, and scored twice. Caden Nelson had 7 carries for 56 yards, and scored once. Grady Gatewood was 7-11 passing for 78 yards.

Mike Brands made 11 tackles while Nelson had 9.

Oakland-Craig amassed 359 yards of total offense, including 281 on the ground.

Great team win for the Knights over a very good opponent.

Oakland-Craig (4-0) plays host to David City Aquinas (4-0) Friday night.

The Monarchs won 22-14 at home over Crofton last week.

The Knights beat the Warriors by a larger margin though and are at home.

Still though Aquinas provides a very tough and stingy challenge, perhaps Oakland-Craig's biggest of the season so far.

The Knights must bring it against the Monarchs.

Oakland-Craig has to play the way they did against the Panthers last week.

If the Knights are on top of their game I think they definitely win.

Oakland-Craig has to be focused and locked in and in tune to what is going on.

The Knights have to get jacked and fired and psyched up in this one and must get ready to hit hard and play a smashmouth, hard hitting, physical football game.

Oakland-Craig has to bring the lunch pail to the game and be ready to go hard for 4 quarters.

The Knights have to play a complete game from start to finish like they have most of the season.

If Oakland-Craig does that and plays their game then they should be just fine.
