The Emerson-Hubbard Football Team won 46-36 at home over Cedar Bluffs Friday night.
It was a win, but not as dominating of a win as the Pirates would of liked I'm sure.
Emerson-Hubbard (0-1) takes on Humphrey St. Francis (1-0) on the road Friday.
The Flyers steamrolled Wynot 56-14 at home last Friday night.
The Pirates are going to have to step up and play better than they did against the Wildcats Friday night if they hope to have a chance in this one.
A season opening win is always good, and the win over Cedar Bluffs was something to be proud of, but Humphrey St. Francis plays a whole nother level of football.
So Emerson-Hubbard is going to have to crank things up a bunch of notches in this one to be successful.
The Pirates have to go in there with a winning mindset and mentality though.
Emerson-Hubbard has to get fired up and must play with raw emotion.
The Pirates have to leave everything out on the field and do everything in their power to come away with a win on Friday.
Beating a team like the Flyers is a very daunting task, but in order to be the best you have to beat the best.
