The Tekamah-Herman Football Team lost 44-24 at BRLD Friday night.
The Tigers got down 6-0 after one and trailed 14-0 at halftime.
BRLD went up 38-8 at the end of three and led 44-8 before Tekamah-Herman put up a pair of touchdowns in the 4th quarter.
Brock Rogers was 3-10 passing for 104 yards with a touchdown and an interception while Eldridge Jensen was 6-15 for 91 yards with two picks.
Dylan Chatt had 50 yards rushing on 5 carries, and scored once.
Jason Hoover caught 5 balls for 75 yards, and Cole Freidel caught a 56-yard pass.
Garrison Potadle had 17 tackles to lead the team while Dawson Schram and Kody Bitter had 10 each, and Jensen added 9.
The Tigers had 311 yards of total offense, 195 coming through the air.
I really credit for Tekamah-Herman for not giving up. The Tigers got down 44-8, but fought hard until the very end. 311 yards of offense too, this team is playing hard and improving that's for sure.
Tekamah-Herman (0-1) hosts Ponca (0-1) Friday night.
The Indians lost 50-0 at home to Oakland-Craig last week.
If you recall, the Tigers beat Ponca 42-12 on the road in last year's season opener, and I look for Tekamah-Herman to beat the Indians again.
Every game, every year is different, but I feel like the Tigers are a stronger team this year than last year, and feel like the Indians are kind of down again.
Perhaps Tekamah-Herman caught Ponca a little off guard and by surprise last year, but the Tigers are at home, and this is a big time opportunity for the them to get a win.
This is a game Tekamah-Herman must have and needs.
It's a must win for the Tigers if you ask me.
I look for Tekamah-Herman to answer the bell, and go out there and put a complete game together Friday night.
