The Jaguars had 307 yards of total offense, including 216 on the ground.
The defense gave up just 93 yards of total offense, including 72 rushing.
Head Coach Mike Speirs on the win. "The boys really responded and improved on their technique from last week. Hopefully we can continue to make improvements."
Howells-Dodge (2-0) travels to defending Class D-1 State Runner-Up Cross County (3-0) Friday night.
The Cougars won 58-20 at home over Thayer Central last week, and also own a 56-36 win over Clarkson/Leigh.
The Jaguars have been super impressive so far this season, getting out to big halftime leads and shutting their first two opponents down.
Howells-Dodge is going to need to be even more impressive this week to come away with the win.
I feel like Cross County has been just as impressive as the Jaguars, and perhaps even a little bit more impressive.
The fact this game is in Stromsburg is a huge advantage for the Cougars, in my opinion.
Howells-Dodge can definitely go in there and win though.
If there's a team to go on the road and win a big game it is the Jaguars.
Howells-Dodge has to play fearless, and must be tough minded, tenacious, fiery, physical, and must get amped, psyched, fired, and jacked up for this one.
This is a huge game and the Jaguars have to lay it all out on the line.
