The Wisner-Pilger Football Team fell 56-20 at home to Wakefield Friday night.
It was a tough game for the Gators, who have a quick turnaround this week.
Wisner-Pilger (0-2) travels to Tilden to take on Elkhorn Valley (2-0) Thursday night.
The Falcons won 46-34 at North Central Friday night.
This game is definitely going to be another tough challenge for the Gators.
Elkhorn Valley is a good, solid team, and Wisner-Pilger is going to have to play a great game in order to come away with the win.
The Gators can definitely do it and get the job done though I have no doubts about that.
Wisner-Pilger just has to play and put together a complete game from start to finish.
The Gators have to come out swinging and must punch the Falcons in the mouth early on.
Wisner-Pilger has to set the tone for the game, and play at a very high level.
The Gators have to play the way they did against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge when they built a 14-0 lead.
I view the Bears as a similar type team as Elkhorn Valley, and perhaps Wisner-Pilger will win and get redemption this time around.
The Gators definitely want their shot at redemption no doubt about that.
Last week was a tough game/loss, but this week is a new week and Wisner-Pilger has to come out and perform well on a short week's rest.
Perhaps just going out there and playing and not having ample time to think about things and stuff will be a good thing for the Gators.
Wisner-Pilger ought to have a quick memory come Thursday night, and I feel that could serve them well.
