The Pender Football Team rolled to a 63-0 win at home over Randolph Friday night.
The Pendragons led 14-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, and outscored the Cardinals 21-0 in the 2nd quarter to take a 35-0 halftime lead.
Pender put up 14 more points in the 3rd quarter and 14 more in the 4th quarter to make up the final score.
Caleb Trimble ran the ball 11 times for 149 yards, and scored three touchdowns. Braxton Volk was 7-13 passing for 122 yards and three touchdowns.
Dylan Vogt made 10 tackles while Jacob Bruns totaled 7.
Pender had 334 yards of total offense, including 212 on the ground.
All around great performance by the Pendragons.
Pender (1-1) plays host to Winside (2-0) Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.
The Wildcats won 56-20 at Cedar Bluffs last week.
Winside has won their first two games, but this will be their first real test of the season.
The Pendragons appear to be the real deal this year, and that combination of Trimble and Volk looks to be pretty lethal.
I look for both to have big games once again Friday night, and lead Pender to victory.
The Pendragons really need to win this one big with Bloomfield and Allen coming up the next two weeks.
Pender should only be focused on the Wildcats right now, but use their performance against Winside as momentum and carry over for the Bloomfield game next week.
The Pendragons will have the opportunity to keep showing just how much of an improved football team they are from last year.
I feel like Pender has turned a corner or is starting to, and the Pendragons will have the opportunity to continue to prove themselves over the next few weeks.
It all resumes with the Winside game Friday night.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. in Pender with pregame getting underway at 6:30 on the Bull.
