Clarkson/Leigh falls at home to Humphrey St. Francis
The Clarkson/Leigh Football Team lost 52-0 at home to Humphrey St. Francis Friday night.
Eli Hays made 10 tackles while Isaak Wiese and Mitchel Beeson had 8 and 7, respectively.
The Patriots racked up 146 yards of total offense, including 112 rushing.
Tough game and tough start to the season for Clarkson/Leigh, but the Patriots have played some juggernauts.
Clarkson/Leigh (0-2) travels to Parkview Christian (1-1) to take them on on Friday.
It's the battle of the Patriots, and figures to be an interesting game.
Clarkson/Leigh has had two very tough games to start the season against Howells-Dodge and Humphrey St. Francis, two powers.
I think Clarkson/Leigh gets things on track this week and finds a way to win.
Parkview Christian lost big to Mead and only beat Omaha Christian Academy by 10 so I look for Clarkson/Leigh to find success on Friday.
The game is an earlier kickoff than usual as well with the game beginning at 4:00 so we'll see what effect that has on the game if any.
The big thing for Clarkson/Leigh is going down to Lincoln and playing their game and executing.
Clarkson/Leigh has to go down there and do what they do, and do it well.
The offense has to pick things up though.
Clarkson/Leigh has really struggled on offense this year, and a lot of that is due to the absence of Tommy McEvoy.
Wiese and Lance Paprocki really need to step things up on offense and carry and lead this team.
This game could very well be a shootout, and if that's the case then it might actually be an advantage for Parkview Christian.
Clarkson/Leigh needs to go down there and play well though.
Clarkson/Leigh can't afford to go down there and lay an egg.
Clarkson/Leigh has to step things up on both sides of the ball and play their best game of the season.
Clarkson/Leigh has a lot of tough games left, but I feel the Patriots have gotten through the toughest part of their schedule.
Now Clarkson/Leigh can go out there and perform to their potential and win some of these so called toss up games.
Clarkson/Leigh has to find a way to win and get the job done on Friday, it's that simple.
