Tekamah-Herman wins at Conestoga

The Tekamah-Herman Football Team picked up a 45-8 win at Conestoga Friday night.

The Tigers led 7-0 after one and won the 2nd quarter 13-8 to take a 20-8 lead into the locker room.

Tekamah-Herman blanked the Cougars 18-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 38-8 at the end of three.

The Tigers won the 4th quarter 7-0.

Luke Wakehouse had 18 carries for 209 yards and four touchdowns. Clay Beaumont added 66 yards rushing on 8 carries.

Kody Bitter had 20 tackles while Chauncey Rogers made 12. Garrison Potadle added 9.

Tekamah-Herman had 354 yards of total offense, including 348 rushing.

Great individual performance from Wakehouse. He simply willed and carried this team to victory.

The Tigers (2-2) host Oakland-Craig (4-0) Friday night.

The Knights blasted Syracuse 68-0 on the road last week.

Oakland-Craig has been smoking every opponent they've played so far, and Tekamah-Herman is going to need to play really well in this one to be able to come out on top.

The Tigers need a really big and nice effort Friday night.

Both Wakehouse and Beaumont need to be on top of their games, and Tekamah-Herman has to be physical at the line of scrimmage.

I think the Tigers are also going to need to be able to throw the ball to have a chance in this one.

I also feel Tekamah-Herman needs to be creative running the ball.

I think the Tigers can and will make things closer than they have in years past, but the Knights are still a tough, top team.

Oakland-Craig has been about as impressive of a team so far as you'll see.

The Knights appear to be the real deal, and are overachieving in many ways I would say.

I feel Tekamah-Herman has come along nicely though, and can make this one interesting.

Oakland-Craig hasn't really been in a close game yet, so if the Tigers can challenge the Knights and make this a slugfest, who knows what will happen.

Tekamah-Herman is at home also so the Tigers have to be and feel optimistic about their chances in this one.

The Tigers have to play well in all facets of the game, and create turnovers and put up points.

I think defense will be critical in this one for Tekamah-Herman as well.

The Tigers are capable of doing anything they put their mind to they just have to go out there and make it happen.

Tekamah-Herman has to play their hearts and guts out for four quarters, and leave everything they have on the field.

The Tigers have to play and shed blood, sweat, and tears throughout this one.

Tekamah-Herman has to play with a lot of pride and not back down from Oakland-Craig whatsoever.
