Wisner-Pilger downs East Butler

The Wisner-Pilger Football Team won 20-14 at East Butler last Friday night.

The Gators gave up 241 yards of total offense, including 154 through the air.

Big win for Wisner-Pilger. A good win too.

The Gators (2-0) take on Madison (2-0) on the road Friday night.

The Dragons shutout Boyd County 42-0 on the road last week.

Lopside wins for Madison in their first two games, but the Dragons have yet to be challenged.

This is Madison's first real test.

I look for Wisner-Pilger to come out and play well and dominate.

The Gators have a huge game at home against GACC next week, but Wisner-Pilger has to focus on the Dragons.

The last thing the Gators can afford to do is get caught looking ahead to GACC.

Wisner-Pilger has to come out and take care of business Friday night.

Madison hasn't played tough competition, but they've won big.

The Dragons will no doubt come in with some confidence and be ready to play well.

The Gators have to match Madison's focus and intensity, and be ready to bring it themselves.

Wisner-Pilger has to come out and put the Dragons away early.

The Gators have to run the ball well and throw it well also.

Wisner-Pilger needs great line play also.

One good thing you can say about the Gators this year is they have a knack for winning close games.

Wisner-Pilger's games have both been decided by single digits, but I'm willing to bet the Gators would love a blowout and breather this week.

The last thing Wisner-Pilger wants is an intense and close game with the Dragons before facing GACC.

That's why the Gators have to come out and light it up offensively and create turnovers.

If Wisner-Pilger does that then they should be in great shape.

There's no reason to think the Gators won't win and win big.

Wisner-Pilger has been good and solid so far this season, and I look for that to continue Friday night.
