Emerson-Hubbard blanked at home by Plainview

The Emerson-Hubbard Football Team lost 66-0 at home to Plainview Friday night.

Plainview led 16-0 after one and 46-0 at halftime.

Plainview shutout Emerson-Hubbard 14-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 60-0 at the end of three.

Plainview won the 4th quarter 6-0.

Plainview had 486 yards of total offense, including 367 rushing.

Very tough loss for Emerson-Hubbard. I'm not quite sure what has happened to the Pirates this year and why they are struggling the way they are.

Emerson-Hubbard (0-3) takes on Cedar Bluffs (0-3) on the road Friday night.

The Wildcats lost 82-14 at Riverside last week.

Both teams lost to Allen pretty big, Emerson-Hubbard more so than Cedar Bluffs.

This is the start of District play, a brand new season for the Pirates.

Emerson-Hubbard controls their own destiny in terms of winning the District and making the playoffs, but the Pirates need to start out with a win Friday night.

I guess I don't understand why Emerson-Hubbard is struggling the way they are this year so I'll say this: With it being their last season as Emerson-Hubbard before combining with Wakefield and Allen....how do the Pirates want to be remembered?

Does Emerson-Hubbard want to be remembered as the last team that went 0-8 or do they want to be the team that was known for overcoming a very slow start and going on to have a season to remember?

There was so much hype and expectation around this year's team that I'm almost at a loss for words as to why they are struggling.

I'm not sure if knowing it is their last year as Emerson-Hubbard has affected the team, but the Pirates need to get back on track in a hurry.

Emerson-Hubbard desperately needs a win Friday night.

The Pirates have to go into Cedar Bluffs and find a way to come away with a big win.

The Wildcats are beatable too, Emerson-Hubbard just has to step things up on both sides of the ball.

The offensive and defensive struggles have really taken me by surprise I must say.

I thought the Pirates would be a lot better than they have been so far this season.

The good news is there's still time to right the ship, but some sort of progress has to be made Friday night.

Emerson-Hubbard has to go in there and do everything and play the exact opposite of the way they've played so far this season.

The Pirates have to put everything they got into the game, and do everything in their power to come out winners.
