West Point-Beemer comes up short to Columbus Scotus

The West Point-Beemer Football Team lost 40-23 at home to Columbus Scotus Friday night.

Tough loss for the Cadets, who were down 40-7 at one point in the contest.

West Point-Beemer (1-2) looks to get back on track Friday night when they travel to DC West (1-2) to take on the Falcons.

DC West beat Schuyler 28-15 at home last week.

I think this game could be a lot like the Arlington game for the Cadets.

I think West Point-Beemer can definitely win, but it won't be easy.

The Shamrocks were very dominant on both sides of the ball last week and had a definite size advantage on the Cadets.

Jesus Barragan and Alejandro Edeza need big games for West Point-Beemer.

The team has to step up and make plays on offense and defense.

The Cadets are a very young team this year, but I think they'll only get better as the year goes on.

West Point-Beemer needs Zach Vander Griend to keep playing well.

The Cadets have to gel and mesh together as a team and play good and solid football.

There's no reason why West Point-Beemer shouldn't win Friday night.

The Cadets need to step things up on both sides of the ball though.

The defense has been gashed in all three games, and the first team offense has really struggled the last two weeks.

I don't think DC West is nearly as good as Scotus or Boys Town though.

West Point-Beemer definitely went through some growing pains the last two weeks, but I look for the Cadets to get back on track this week with a win.

The game should be close, but I look for West Point-Beemer to go down there and find a way to pull out a win.

The Cadets have to be poised and confident the entire time.

West Point-Beemer has to use the last two weeks as motivation to improve and play better Friday night.

The Cadets see what and where they need to be, now it's just a matter of going out there and finding a way to get it done Friday night.
