Logan View/Scribner-Snyder comes up short at home against Fremont Bergan in opener
The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Football Team lost 16-15 at home to Fremont Bergan in Friday night's season opener.
The Knights led 8-0 at the end of one and 8-7 at halftime.
Both teams scored 8 points in the 4th quarter after not scoring in the 3rd quarter.
The Raiders gave up 195 yards of total offense, including 142 passing.
Solid effort from LVSS, especially on defense, but unfortunately the Raiders couldn't quite get over the hump.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (0-1) travels to North Bend to take on the Tigers (1-0) Friday night.
NBC won 32-21 at Johnson County Central Friday night.
I think the Raiders can definitely go on the road and get the job done.
Defense appears to be the strength of this team, and if they can slow down Austin Endorf they ought to figure to have a chance to win.
LVSS has to produce more points offensively this week than they did last week though.
It's hard to win many games scoring just 15 points.
The Raiders have to take the frustration of losing last week out on the Tigers this week.
I think playing C-1 ball now gives Logan View/Scribner-Snyder an edge as opposed to if they were still playing C-2 ball.
I understand Bergan is still a C-2 foe, but the Knights are just as good if not better than North Bend Central I would say, and the Raiders nearly beat them.
With that said, it was a home game for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, and the Raiders are on the road this week.
You know the Tigers are going to be ready and will put their best foot forward Friday night.
North Bend Central is a dynamic and talented football team, and it's no small task going into their house and winning.
LVSS has to find a way to get over the hump and get the job done though.
The Raiders have to find a way to turn last week's frustration into success this week.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to get jacked and must be ready to go out there and hit hard and play an extremely physical football game.
The Raiders have to blitz and get after Endorf as much as possible.
LVSS has to create turnovers and havoc in the offensive backfield.
Field position and special teams will be big too I feel.
The Raiders have to create some short fields for their offense to come out on top.
