Wisner-Pilger routs Madison
The Wisner-Pilger Football Team routed Madison 57-7 on the road Friday night.
The Gators got out to a 12-0 lead at the end of one and outscored the Dragons 16-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 28-7 lead into the locker room.
Wisner-Pilger outscored Madison 23-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 51-7 at the end of three.
The Gators won the 4th quarter 6-0.
Dominant win for Wisner-Pilger.
The Gators (3-0) host GACC (1-2) Friday night.
The Bluejays won 74-16 at Omaha Brownell Talbot two weeks ago.
GACC lost 30-20 at home to East Butler, who Wisner-Pilger beat 20-14 on the road.
The Bluejays are playing better football now than they did in their first two games perhaps it appears so the Gators need to step things up.
Wisner-Pilger had GACC on the ropes last year before losing so the Gators need to get the job done this time around.
This is a golden opportunity for Wisner-Pilger, but it won't be easy.
You know the Bluejays will come in very angry, hungry, determined, and motivated.
The Gators are going to get GACC's best shot and then some, that you can bet on.
But if Wisner-Pilger plays up to their potential then they ought to have a good chance to win this one.
I think the game could go either way, but being undefeated and at home really helps the Gators I feel.
Wisner-Pilger should feel pretty confident in themselves and about this game in general Friday night.
It's a huge district game and figures to go a long ways in dictating and determining the District Standings.
The loser may have a tough time winning the District while the winner puts themselves in a good position to do so.
This game is about pride in a lot of ways too.
Beating a team and program like GACC would be a huge deal for Wisner-Pilger.
I feel a win over the Bluejays would really set the tone and stage for the rest of the season for the Gators.
I don't think an undefeated regular season is out of the realm of possibility for Wisner-Pilger if they can beat GACC.
So this game could go a long ways in dictating and determining how the rest of the season is going to go for Wisner-Pilger I feel.
A win would really make the Gators' season I don't think there's any doubt about that.
