Logan View beats Wisner-Pilger
The Logan View Raiders picked up a 20-16 road win at Wisner-Pilger Friday night.
Logan View led 12-0 at halftime thanks to a 73-yard TD pass from Garrett Knoell to Nathan Rock and a 13-yard TD run from Knoell.
The Raiders' other score in the game came in the fourth quarter as Knoell hit Nolan Miller for a 46-yard TD pass.
Knoell was 4-11 passing for 146 yards and two touchdowns and three interceptions.
Logan View amassed 226 yards of offense, including 146 through the air.
The defense gave up 260 yards of offense, 208 coming on the ground.
Head Coach Jeremy Bohaboj says his team did what they needed to do to win. "I'm very proud of the kids. They just came through. They made plays when they needed to make plays. We definitely had some struggles on offense moving the ball, but we made big plays, and we made some big plays on defense, and I'm just very proud of them."
Logan View (3-1) hosts Omaha Brownell-Talbot (4-0) Friday night.
Omaha Brownell-Talbot knocked off Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer last time out to remain unbeaten.
Omaha Brownell-Talbot appears to be the real deal this year, and Logan View will no doubt have their hands full.
Omaha Brownell-Talbot hasn't blown anyone out, but they've found ways to win.
The same could be said for Logan View.
Knoell will definitely have an impact on this game. He has to play well for Logan View to win.
This is going to be a tough game for Logan View, but the game is at home and I think Logan View has what it takes to get the job done.
This is a huge game in terms of playoff implications. Both teams probably have to go 6-3 or better to qualify for the postseason, and given both teams' schedules to finish out the regular season, this could be do or die in terms of making the playoffs.
It will be interesting to see how things go. Both teams have things rolling right now. Logan View has an excellent opportunity in front of them.
This would be a big win for Logan View.
They have to execute on offense though, and limit turnovers. Logan View can't afford to beat themselves.
I anticipate a clean, mistake free game, which should make for an exciting four quarter battle.
