North Bend Central falls at Boone Central/Newman Grove

The North Bend Central Tigers were unable to follow up their win over West Point-Beemer with another win Friday night as they lost 47-12 at Boone Central/Newman Grove.

The Cardinals had 339 yards of total offense, including 239 on the ground.

North Bend Central had a tall task in front of them. Beating Boone Central/Newman Grove is asking a lot. The Tigers gave it their all, but their efforts didn't yield them a win.

North Bend Central (1-2) hosts Madison (0-3) Friday night.

The Dragons lost 49-12 at home to Boys Town this past Friday night.

Madison has struggled on both sides of the ball throughout much of the early season.

The Dragons played solid defense against O'Neill, but didn't score.

I think Friday night's game will be close. The Tigers have to be encouraged by the fact they won the last time they were at home, but Madison won't be easy.

The Dragons will no doubt come to play, which means North Bend Central has to be ready to play as well.

The Tigers have to execute in all facets of the game for four quarters, and make plays down the stretch.

North Bend Central has to keep making play after play to win the game.

Madison probably figures they have a pretty good chance to win this game, and will most likely play optimistic football.

Something tells me the Dragons will be tough come Friday night. I think the Tigers will win, but I look for the game to be close.

This might be Madison's best chance at a win so the Dragons will no doubt want to get the job done.

This is a very winnable game for North Bend Central too though. The Tigers have to be ready to ball come Friday night.
