Logan View shutout by Stanton

The Logan View Raiders ran into a quality team in Stanton Friday night, losing 34-0 at home.

The Mustangs scored 7 points in the first quarter and 13 in the second to lead 20-0 at halftime. Stanton added scores in the third and fourth quarters to make up the final score.

I thought Logan View had a chance to make things closer than they did, but I think the final score is more indicative of how good the Mustangs are, and not how poorly the Raiders played.

Logan View no doubt would have liked to have done better, but all the Raiders can do is move on and prepare for the next game.

Logan View (1-1) hosts Homer (1-1) Friday night.

The Knights defeated Tekamah-Herman 14-8 on the road Friday night after losing 34-6 at home to Crofton in their opener.

Homer isn't a bad team, but I look for the Raiders to bounce back and pick up a win.

I definitely feel things could be close, but I look for Logan View to win by a couple of touchdowns.

The Raiders have to get things going offensively, and play well defensively for the entire game as well.

It's going to take a four quarter performance from Logan View to get the job done.

The Raiders have to be ready to play mentally and physically. It's easy to come out sluggish and unprepared following a difficult loss, but Logan View has to be focused on the task at hand.

The Raiders have an excellent opportunity to pick up another win, and can't let the opportunity fall by the wayside.

Logan View has to get pumped up for this game. The Raiders are at home, and have a great chance to win.

There's no doubt Homer will bring it, so Logan View has to bring it too.

The Raiders have to play with toughness and intensity. Logan View has to hit hard, and tackle well.

The Raiders have to show the Knights who's boss, and what Logan View football is all about.

If the Raiders do all of these things, they should win.
