It was a difficult game for the Tigers. North Bend Central gave up too many points and didn't score enough in the first half to give themselves a chance in the second half.
The Tigers (1-4) host Columbus Lakeview (2-3) Friday night.
The Vikings lost 14-13 at Wahoo last time out.
Columbus Lakeview is a better team than their record indicates, in my opinion.
The Vikings knocked off perennial power Kearney Catholic, and have played much better football than they did the first couple weeks of the season.
This is going to be another very difficult game for North Bend Central. I'm not sure if Columbus Lakeview is quite at Bishop Neumann's level, but the Vikings are still a tough team.
Columbus Lakeview will be fighting for their playoff lives as one more loss could knock them out of postseason contention.
This is an important game for both teams. Both want to win very badly I am sure.
It all comes down to execution, and who wants it more. The Tigers have to block and tackle well, and can't turn the ball over.
North Bend Central has to be better on both sides of the ball to give themselves a chance.
The Bishop Neumann game was the Tigers' lowest scoring output of the season so I'm looking for North Bend Central to rebound and put more points on the board against the Vikings.
I don't know if the Tigers will win, but I think they will definitely be more competitive against Columbus Lakeview than they were against Bishop Neumann.
