West Point-Beemer loses at Wahoo

The West Point-Beemer Cadets lost 38-7 at Wahoo Friday night.

The Warriors scored 14 points in the first quarter and 7 in the second to lead 21-0 at halftime.

Both teams scored 7 third quarter points to make the score 28-7 Wahoo at the end of three.

The Warriors added 10 points in the fourth quarter.

This was a tough game for West Point-Beemer. The Cadets did what they could to hang in there, but Wahoo proved to be too difficult for West Point-Beemer to handle.

The Cadets (1-2) host Arlington (0-3) Friday night.

The Eagles lost 28-14 at home against Wayne this past Friday night.

Arlington has struggled this season much like West Point-Beemer in many ways.

The difference is the Cadets played well the first game of the season whereas the Eagles didn't.

West Point-Beemer has to get back to playing the way they did against Fort Calhoun.

The Cadets have to put the past two weeks behind them, and move forward.

I think there's a good chance West Point-Beemer wins Friday night. Arlington scored some points on Pierce, but otherwise their offense hasn't been the greatest.

I look for the Cadets to win something like 21-14, 21-17, 24-17, or 28-21.

West Point-Beemer has to bring it for four quarters. The Cadets have to hit hard and tackle well all game long, and can't allow big plays.

The more West Point-Beemer can force the Eagles to drive the field the better off they will be.

The Cadets desperately need to win this game given what they have coming up. West Point-Beemer has Boone Central/Newman Grove, Norfolk Catholic, and Pierce the next three weeks.

A win would be good momentum for the Cadets heading into the Boone Central/Newman Grove game. West Point-Beemer needs all the momentum they can get for that game and the next two after that.
