Clarkson/Leigh smashes Pender

The Clarkson/Leigh Football Team walloped Pender 60-6 at home Friday night.

The Patriots led 14-0 after one and 30-6 at halftime.

Clarkson/Leigh shutout the Pendragons 24-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 54-6 at the end of three.

The Patriots added 6 4th quarter points to make up the final score.

Lance Paprocki had 177 yards rushing on 12 carries and scored four times. Eli Hays rushed for 129 yards on 14 carries, scoring once. Kyle Kasik had 61 yards on 11 carries.

Paprocki was 4-7 passing for 69 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Drew Beeson had 10 tackles while Carter Hanel made 9. Trevor Zulkoski had 8 while Hays and Mitchel Beeson each totaled 7.

The Patriots racked up 442 yards of total offense, including 373 rushing.

The defense gave up 103 yards of total offense, including just 17 yards on the ground.

What a super impressive and dominating performance by Clarkson/Leigh Friday night.

The Patriots (2-2) host Omaha Christian Academy (0-4) Friday night.

The Eagles lost 62-12 at home to Mead last week.

I look for Clarkson/Leigh to play well and turn in another dominating performance Friday night.

I don't think this game will be very close at all as I look for the Patriots to run all over Omaha Christian Academy much like they did Pender.

I feel Clarkson/Leigh will be able to run the ball at will against the Eagles.

I look for Paprocki, Hays, and Kasik to all have big games for the Patriots.

What a turnaround story this has been for Clarkson/Leigh.

You lose your best player and arguably one of the best if not the best running backs around to a season-ending torn ACL and everyone thinks you are doomed.

So what do the Patriots do? Find a way with the three-headed monster of Paprocki, Hays, and Kasik.

I don't know what was said or what has gotten into these guys, but wow what a great story this is becoming.

Clarkson/Leigh has a shot to win out and win the District Title despite everything that has happened, gone on, and transpired.

These next two games should be huge wins for the Patriots heading into the Mead and Emerson-Hubbard games to end the regular season.

Clarkson/Leigh is battle tested, and should be ready for anyone or anything thrown their way the rest of this season.

The Patriots have to continue to improve and get better each and every week until the season is over.

Clarkson/Leigh has done like a complete 720 since the start of the season and it has been very impressive.

The Patriots have to keep the ball rolling and find a way to win once again Friday night.

Clarkson/Leigh has to come out and hammer Omaha Christian Academy for four quarters, and get everyone multiple reps and playing time.

There's no reason why this game should be close at all.

It should be Patriot domination from start to finish.
