The defense gave up just 88 yards of total offense, 51 coming through the air.
Absolutely great and dominant performance by Howells-Dodge Friday night. The Jaguars couldn't be playing better football than they are right now.
Here is a comment from the Howells-Dodge Coaching Staff. "Overall effort from our kids was outstanding."
The Jaguars (6-0) look to keep the ball rolling this Friday night when they take on Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (4-2) on the road.
The Bears lost 42-16 at Lutheran High Northeast last week.
Last regular season test for Howells-Dodge.
The Jaguars have passed all six tests so far, can they pass a 7th?
I think so, but Laurel-Concord-Coleridge figures to be tough.
Howells-Dodge is playing at a whole nother level right now though.
I really feel like the Jaguars are starting to reclaim the glory that the Howells teams of the past had with all those state championships.
The Jaguars are beating great teams, foes, and opponents, and it has been very impressive.
Howells-Dodge has played some absolute powers and juggernauts and a gauntlet of a schedule, and for the Jaguars to win the way they have has been super impressive.
The work is not done yet though as Howells-Dodge has the Bears this week and then Madison before the playoffs so the Jaguars have a lot out in front of them yet.
There's a lot yet to accomplish and a lot that has been accomplished so far this season for Howells-Dodge.
So the Jaguars should be happy with what they've done and where they're at, but realize that the job is not done yet.
There's still lots of football to be played yet and lots of games to be won.
Howells-Dodge has to keep going and keep playing great Football.
The Jaguars have to keep doing what they've been doing and not change a thing.
Howells-Dodge has to finish what they started Friday night, and wrap up the District Championship.
The Jaguars lead Class D-1 in Power Points right now, and could very well earn the No. 1 seed in the East.
And while that would be a huge deal and accomplishment for Howells-Dodge, the Jaguars have to be ready for and focused on Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at the moment.
